Which oil is right for my skin?

Dry & Mature Skin

What do dry and mature skins have in common? Lack of sebum! In fact, when the natural production of sebum decreases with age, the skin inevitably becomes drier and loses its suppleness… Once the skin is drier; it gives way to more pronounced wrinkles and fine lines, as well as feelings of tightness and discomfort. Dry, mature skin needs nourishing, hydrating and regenerating oils with a high content of essential fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E. Such oils will reduce the signs of dryness, the appearance of wrinkles and bring more comfort to the skin.

  • The best oils for dry and mature skin are: argan oil, borage seed oil, evening primrose seed oil and avocado oil.

Oily & Combination Skin

Contrary to popular belief, oily and combination skin can greatly benefit from facial oils. Some oils are able to normalize the production of sebum and even eliminate excess sebum within the pores. They help reduce shine, eliminate blackheads and prevent the signs of acne. Oily and combination skin will benefit from dry purifying, non-comedogenic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial oils.

  • The best oils for oily and combination skins are: rosemary essential oil, lavender essential oil and calendula oil.

Acne Prone Skin

Acne-prone skin can also benefit from the advantages of facial oils. The oils to favour for sensitive skin are nourishing, regenerating, anti-inflammatory and vitamin E based antioxidant oils.

Acne Rosacea

Acne rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disease of vascular origin. It is manifested by redness on the central part of the face, swelling, tingling and pimples related to the development of a mite called “Demodex Folliculorum”. Certain synergies of anti-inflammatory, decongestant, antimicrobial and purifying oils may help control the visible symptoms of acne rosacea.
